OK so if someone can tell me where the weeks are going I’d really appreciate that. Cool cheers.
It’s Hidden Treasure Mix time again yo. This week it comes from a new producer on the scene Shoot the Ghost (well the moniker is new, the producer’s previous alias is a secret shhh). STG has impecable music taste and a sense of humour. Win win all around.
Some cheeky original production mixed in with a delicious selection of tunes; this mix is sick.

From what part of your body did your desire to produce stem from?
Probably a combination of heart at feet. If either aren’t feeling it, it’s not working.
What do you see when you listen to music?
Depends where I am, if I’m in music making mode sometimes I see it like a project. Really geeky I know!
Vinyl, CD or digital?
Well it used to be vinyl, I always used to say I would ever play CD’s which I inevitably did and now I use Serato. So all of them?! They are all great for different reasons.
The best sample you ever heard is…?
That’s so hard to answer! I am a complete sucker for old garage vocals in tracks so anything along those lines I guess.
What music is your escape?
To be honest any music that I love. I don’t have like ‘chill out’ music or anything for a particular mood. As long as it makes me smile/move/feel something that’s all I need.
You have a dream that…?
I have a dream that I am invisible and can walk around doing anything I like. On a more realistic note, to do more music would be amazing.
Every new DJ / Producer should know these 3 things…?
1. It doesn’t come to you straight away, you’ve got to practice so don’t send out your first tracks just because it’s finished. You’ll hate it in a few months.
2.Learn from everything around you, don’t be precious, listen to people when they are trying to help.
3. don’t be a big head when you start getting bookings, no one likes a big head.
Why is music important?
Because it brings people together.
What’s the future of Dance music? Who do you think we should keep our ears out for?
Dance music changes so rapidly it’s insane sometimes. It seems more people are taking time to look back and build on their references which can only be a good thing.
What are your 10 of your favourite tracks at the moment?
